| Valkenburg has many sights and attractions, such as castles, musea
and marl rock caves. Generally esteemed are the thermal pools at Thermae 2000
and the Holland Casino on top of the Cauberg. Pleasant shops, the Geul river,
historic buildings and restaurants with outside dining, that's Valkenburg.
From the center of town you can start a walk or cyclingtour through the
hilly country, with its half-timbered houses, monumental farmsteads, photogenic
little villages, forrested hills, sunken roads and meandering streams. |
